Full Crow Moon In Virgo

fcm-2015
Tonight is the Full Crow Moon, also known as the Worm Moon and the Sap Moon. It is called the Crow Moon for the cawing crows that signal the end of winter. As the earth thaws, worms start to appear and it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins.

As we move toward Ostara, the Spring Equinox on March 20th when both day and night are at equal length, we are reminded to find our own inner balance and focus inward toward inner wisdom and self analysis.

This Full Moon is about cultivating and growing, just as the Sun’s energy and nature is doing. Plant the seeds of new ventures now, plan for the future, think about what it is you want and need, and set about putting a plan into action. Use this month for magical workings related to rebirth and regrowth. New life is blooming during this phase of the moon, as is prosperity and fertility.

The Full Moon always illuminates our inner feelings and desires, so emotions can be quite raw and enhanced. The Full Moon is in the sign of Virgo. This means we may be over-critical of ourselves and of others. Try not to see the bad in everything, instead looking for the good. Virgo is also a very practical sign, so use its energy for getting jobs done that you have been putting off for a while. Tackle any problems and bring them to an end.

This Full Moon brings light to whatever was hidden in the darkness or buried within the subconscious, such as emotional pain or our deepest desires, but once awareness happens, you are able to make realistic changes. Our emotional levels move like strong, turbulent waves in the Ocean during high tide for some during this Full Moon. Emotional reactions may be strong, energies may feel irritable or uptight, but don’t worry, this too will pass. We are amidst great times of transformation which are heralding major new beginnings. Change isn’t always easy or comfortable and it’s constant, so we must strive to keep our balance.

Let the energy of this Full Moon wash over you and cleanse your spirit, use it to heal yourself, both emotionally and physically. Let the moonlight bathe and soothe you, body and soul. Seek a balance of light and dark and see the truth in your life, however much it may hurt. Only then can we do something about it. The best use of this Full Moon can be about harnessing the potential for self-adjustments, inner work, and healing.

Have a blessed Full Moon, and may the Goddess watch over you.

Some of these are absolutely stunning.

I openly admit that I have the Scorpio glyph in black, exactly like the one posted, but mine is significantly smaller and is part of a spine piece.

Does anyone else have an astrology based tattoo? If so, what is it?

128 ~ Red Sky Falling

This is incredible and really sums up how I feel about a certain Gemini. It’s a good thing we’re not speaking right now because I seriously want to harm her. I always find that sad when you’re basically sisters with someone, but it happens.
Hugs to Britt for her awesomeness.

Fairytale Epidemic

I will spill these bedrooms walls
With the ink of what you did to me
Tear out your heart and arrange the pieces
Into a constellation for all to see

Stupid, illegitimate sky line
Did you think I wouldn’t discover?
A soul so messed up, bruised and beaten
Tormented by a love of another

Soon the fog will pass and uncover
The remnants of your destruction
You breathe lies and games and heresy
In order to make you function

Two-faced and pretentious
You wear that honor proud
But I’ll lacerate that smile right off your face
In front of this entire crowd

Let the red rain commence,
From your throat I’ve slit in the sky
Blood moon rising has never been as glorious
As the hate that fills my eyes

To be honest, I don’t remember writing this piece (AKA blind rage or probably really drunk), but I went…

Full Moon in Scorpio + Lunar Eclipse

Every month, I try to take the day of the Full Moon off, even if that just means escaping to get a manicure or grabbing a few hours of 100% private time, no one nagging me, no phones ringing, etc. This started when Wicca became a part of my life over 10 years ago, and I’ve kept it up because I like having the day to sort of focus on myself a bit and recharge my batteries.

I’m a big moon/star watcher. I love my Eastern/Western views of the moon and various constellations, but as I’ve previously stated, once the sun rises, I’m done.

Today is the Full Moon in Scorpio (100% Sign Pride!) and some of us will also be able to see the Lunar Eclipse as part of this. I love seeing any kind of eclipse, they’re so fascinating and beautiful to watch. Anyone that is able to snag a photo of this will be lucky, for sure.

This morning I found a neat little piece about today’s moon and thought I’d share it.

“FULL SCORPIO MOON: Scorpio is the most misunderstood energy of the zodiac. It doesn’t help that Scorpio’s symbol is a creature with a painful sting, or that Scorpio rules the sex organs, or that it is associated with the death card of the Tarot. You might say that Scorpio specializes in the kind of topics one might avoid in polite conversation, but it just so happens that there wouldn’t be a context for polite conversation if not for the energies that Scorpio rules: Life, Death, Regeneration, Existence. (The fact that I have a Scorpio glyph tattoo, as well as a symbol for Life, Death & Rebirth won’t come as a surprise.)

This particular Scorpio moon is pregnant with the profound feeling that your existence is so improbable that you had very well better do something interesting with it, if not something downright great. The lunar eclipse will be a momentary “reset” — a cosmic do-over button that allows a different approach, a fresh attitude or a second shot at what’s important to you.

In her pregnant phase, the Scorpio moon wants us to hold on to hope. Possibilities exist in situations that seem impossible. You never know when and how things will turn around. There is nothing, and then suddenly there is everything. Life is more magical for those who choose to believe.”

Interesting, huh? My horoscope is always pretty accurate in terms of what is going on in my life, so I was glad to see this and get a tiny glimmer of peace from the knowledge that things WILL eventually get better.

For all you non-Scorps, I hope you have a great day and get to enjoy the moon this evening. For all “my people” (fellow Scorps), enjoy the day and night, for it is in this hour that we reign supreme.
