Full Harvest Super Moon in Pisces

fullharvestsupermoon
Tonight is a the Full Harvest Super Moon, the last Super Moon of three which have been back to back since July. This Full Moon is in the constellation of Pisces. The Moon tonight will be very bright, the brightest moon of the year. It is called the harvest Moon because in September crops which were seeded in Spring are ready to be harvested. The Harvest Moon will usually be a big orange or blood-red color, because it rises low in the sky while the sun is still setting.

The Pisces Moon is about faith, spirituality. and intuition. You are being asked to dream, meditate, and be creative. Your sensitivity will be heightened. You may have to move away from loud noise, crowds, and negative people. Try to be around nature tonight, it will be very healing and nurturing to you. It’s okay to cry a little and wipe the slate clean in your heart now. Pisces is a water element, therefore emotions and feelings are strong now. Be kind and gentle with yourself as you may be feeling ultra sensitive.

Open yourself up tonight to the magical forces of Pisces. Don’t be limited by the five senses or the ‘hows’ and ‘whens.’ Instead, believe in yourself and live from a place of magic and miracles. Make wishes and dream big.

The Full Moon is a time of great healing energy, it is a time to become in tune with a higher force and hone your psychic powers. There is healing that needs to take place. Now more than ever, with big planetary changes occurring, it is helpful to move into the core of certain issues. Take off the rose-colored glasses and see things as they are.

Tonight’s Full Moon is a Super Moon which means the Moon is closer to Earth than at any other time. This will affect the sea tides and many animals behavior. It also affects us. It makes us feel illuminated, we can see things we couldn’t see before, our senses will become sharper, our emotions will be heightened. Many people will have prophetic dreams tonight under the Super Moon.

With the Harvest Moon, it is time to reap what we have sown and cultivated this year. Our harvest is the culmination of our efforts to manifest a deeper and fuller life for ourselves, and the world. Name what you have harvested and bless it and yourself for the good work you have done.

This Full Moon let your emotions flow, get rid of past hurts, cry, scream or shout if you need to, but let it out, allow yourself to heal. After tonight’s emotional Full Moon when you wake to an Autumn Sun you will feel like a new person, full of vigor and energy.

Have a blessed Full Moon, may the Goddess watch over you.

Lammas Blessings!

lammas

Lammas is here! Lammas is a Pagan Sabbat (holiday). It is a celebration of the start of Autumn. Right now you will notice that leaves on trees are starting to change color and fall off. Days will begin to shorten and the warm summer sun will begin to fade. This is also the start of harvest. In farming the fields will be golden with crops of corn and wheat, and fruit will be ripe for picking. Plants will begin to wither and drop seeds that will be reborn in the Spring. Earth is going through a transition where darkness is beginning to take over light. Death is taking over life and cold is taking over warmth.

Lammas is also called Lughnasadh (pronounced loo’nass’ah), because it is the celebration of the Celtic Sun God Lugh. He is a God of harvest and crops. This is also a celebration of the Goddess who, after laying with the God at Beltane, is now in her Mother Aspect and has given birth to the bounty we see. Lughnasadh is mentioned in some of the earliest Irish literature, it was celebrated by lighting a Lughfire, a large bonfire where all the villagers would create a big feast and sit around the fire and give thanks for the harvest. Bread should be baked today and shared with friends and family to bring luck for the year ahead. The word Lammas actually means ‘Loaf Mas’, You should also make an offering of freshly baked bread to the God and Goddess.

On Lammas it is traditional to make corn dollies. These can be done using wheat or corn.

Lughnasadh is a time of personal reflection and harvest, of our actions and deeds, events and experiences, our gains and losses. A time when we begin the cycle of reflection of that which is our life. A period for personal fertility magic to ensure the bountiful harvest of life’s gifts and experiences, that which we have reaped though trial, tribulation, enjoyment, joy, love and loss.

On our altar, we should put harvest grains and ripe fruit to honor the season, and as an offering to the Gods. Also add fresh bread, any fallen leaves, and nuts are also traditional.

Lammas is a time of excitement and magic. The natural world is thriving around us, and yet the knowledge that everything will soon die looms in the background. This is a good time to work some magic around the hearth and home. It is a good time to rid yourself of all that is old to allow in the new.

The Full Snow Moon

14fullmoon

Tonight is The Full Snow Moon (also known as the Storm, Chaste, Quickening or Hunger Moon). It is our wake up call. During this time, all in nature is pure and full of potential. The hibernating creatures are beginning to slowly arouse themselves, quickening their heartbeats, and creeping out of their dormant period. Mother Earth is gently awakening, full of new possibilities. The Snow Moon uses the same force upon us.

There is a gentle pulling upon our consciousness at this time, we become aroused to the latent forces within ourselves – now is the time to turn the mirror in upon ourselves, and see what is reflected. A time to grasp the buds of new paths and ideas, and like nature, be prepared to welcome life anew.

February’s Full Moon is in Leo, this is the sign of ambition and confidence, you should feel a rush of energy and want to get things done. The Leo Full Moon message is to awaken to your heart’s desires and act on your truth, figure out what it really is you want from life, then work out a bold plan to achieve it.

The Leo Full Moon can be emotionally charged. Leo is larger than life. Leo rules big emotions. Leo rules drama. You may feel overly sensitive to the remarks and actions of other people. This Moon can bring out the drama Kings and Queens in all of us. The Leo Full Moon may feel pretty intense. If you like intense, you may well enjoy its spark and energy, but if you’re already feeling somewhat jaded and in need of a rest, it might be a good time to lay low and let the world pass you by rather than engaging too deeply with it.

The Full Moon will be very bright tonight as it highlights our lives and shows us underneath the masks we all wear on a daily basis. This is a time to harness your inner power and your strengths and look to the future, make plans, and think positively. The cosmic message is to balance your heart with your head. Find the middle ground in your relationships. Live from your heart. Yet, be practical in your approach to your dreams and goals. Plant the seeds of fate within ourselves and watch them develop over the coming months.

Have a blessed Full Moon. May the Goddess watch over you.
