“We all build internal sea walls to keep at bay the sadnesses of life and the often overwhelming forces within our minds. In whatever way we do this–through love, work, family, faith, friends, denial, alcohol, drugs, or medication, we build these walls, stone by stone, over a lifetime.” ―Kay Redfield Jamison

*I have found that people don’t take this very seriously. The general belief is that as long as you are on medication, you’ll be fine. However, what if that medication doesn’t work? What happens when NO medication works? Over time, it doesn’t matter how brilliant and accomplished you are, it still takes a toll.*
