His book Night made me cry so much! 😦 but I am a big baby when it comes to tales of genocide and adversity
I want to even say this is from Night and the walk. Maybe it was just the feeling that moment conveyed. It still makes me shudder…
I’d have to re-read them both in order to remember, that’s how long it’s been. I take stuff like that very seriously because I am Jewish and lost a huge part of my family during the Holocaust. Anyone who didn’t immigrate to other countries just prior, or afterward, were part of the Jewish resistance of Freedom Fighters, of which I am extremely proud.
